FAQs
Why commission a hand-drawn portrait when it’s based on a photograph?
While I use photographs as the foundation for my work, the process of creating a hand-drawn portrait brings an entirely different dimension to the final piece. By carefully replicating the image, I focus on enhancing the subtle details, textures, and emotions that might not always stand out in a photograph.
The result is a hyper-realistic yet artistic interpretation that feels more intimate and personal than a simple print. Each piece is crafted with care, precision, and hours of dedication, transforming a photograph into a truly unique and meaningful artwork.
How long does it take to complete a drawing?
The process typically takes 2–4 weeks from the start date, depending on the size and complexity of the piece. I work on a booking slot system based on your inquiry and requested delivery date. Once your request has been secured following a deposit payment, I will confirm an estimated delivery timeframe. When your turn approaches, I’ll be in touch to confirm I’m about to start and begin the creative process.
Do you accept payment plans?
I currently require a £100 deposit to secure your commission slot, with the remaining balance payable before delivery. If you need flexibility, we can discuss a payment plan that works for both of us.
What if I need the portrait for a specific date?
If you have a deadline in mind, please let me know when booking. I’ll do my best to accommodate your request, but availability depends on my current schedule. Urgent requests may incur an additional fee.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I can ship worldwide. Shipping costs will depend on the destination and size of the artwork. I package each piece securely to ensure it arrives safely.
Can I request changes once the portrait is finished?
Before starting the final stages, I provide updates for approval during key stages of the process. This ensures the piece aligns with your vision. Revisions are difficult after completion but will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
